Crossing the 28 weeks mark feels good. Now is when the basics of baby’s lungs are done developing – 28 weekers have a much better prognosis than 25-27 weekers!
It’s still way too early though, and we are doing everything we can to keep him inside!
This weekend was exciting for a few reasons – Nate had the weekend off so he flew in Friday night! I also wore real pants for the first time since the surgery. That was exciting.
We went out to dinner with my mom at Red Lobster, which is someplace I’ve always wanted to try. Thanks to Uncle Garry and Aunt Natasha for the gift card!!
We also went to Target to stock up on snacks and stuff. We make quite the sight.
Other than that we just relaxed on bed rest at the Ronald McDonald House!
I’m glad to have my mom here, but Nate being gone is one of the hardest parts of this whole thing – for both of us. Nate hates that he can’t take care of me, and we both know that if an emergency came up, it would probably take him too long to get here. It was such a relief to have him back, and definitely re-boosted my spirits! Now only 2 more weeks until he’s back for good!
