MAN OH MAN!!!
I was excited and Nate was BONKERS about BYU’s big win over #3 Oklahoma, but even crazier than that major upset was coming back to Provo after watching the game with Brent and Laci in Spanish Fork. Never, in all my days as a BYU co-ed have I EVER seen the streets of Provo so out of control!
IT WAS AWESOME!
Cars FULL of people, honking, doors and windows open with people hanging out, more BYU flags and more RMs with their shirts off than I have ever seen in my life (or ever care to…), people screaming and laughing and crowd surfing and singing the cougar fight song and dancing…you’d think the war was over!
I doubt the Provo police anticipated being busy tonight, but they were! Here is my favorite video…their futile attempt to stop the craziness that culminated at the stadium.
As you can see, their efforts were fruitless.
I think my favorite part of the night though was when we were still at Brent and Laci’s right after the game ended…Brent started calling everyone he knew and at one point he told someone “yeah, church is definitely going to be cancelled tomorrow. This is too big!“
Anyway, it was good to see Provo rally together and go nuts over this exciting event. And at 2:00 am we’ll rally together again at the Provo airport for the official welcoming back pep rally! I’ve never been a big football fan, but I’m a fan of BYU, and I think I speak for everyone when I say…
