I really like this song by Katy Perry.
(Well, besides the sparks coming out of peoples’ chests, which is weird, and makes me uncomfortable.)
I get excited when it comes on the car radio, and sing along (really loudly). There is one line, though, that makes me wonder every single time:
“After the hurricane, comes a rainbow.”
Really? Can’t she say, thunderstorm, or rainclouds, or something less drastic? Are there even rainbows after hurricanes? Whenever hurricanes are on the news, they don’t show any rainbows.
I think if I was involved in a hurricane, I wouldn’t be looking at the rainbows. I’d be looking for my car, and wondering how to get a bunch of trees off of my house.
The only thing that confuses me more as I’m driving home is when there’s loud honking in radio commercials. WHY IS THAT LEGAL? I about have a heart attack every time.
