During my hospital stay our nurse Deb said the only thing that is going to get me through the night is “pillowing up”. I took her advice very seriously. I sleep with pillows EVERYWHERE. Under my stomach, under my back, under my legs, under my head.
Nate sometimes calls me the “pillow monster”.
One night at the hospital I couldn’t get comfortable and asked Nate if he could find me another pillow.
He kindly gave me his pillow.
In the middle of the night when he helped me get up to go to the bathroom, he snapped this picture.
At the Ronald McDonald House, with all my pillows.
Also, that’s Nate’s side of the bed, which is probably why he snapped this picture- for proof that I invaded his side! (I always deny it…)
Now we have 3 expensive new special pillows too – a wedge, a “snoogle” (aka pregnancy pillow), and one of those pillows with little arms you use to sit up against.
I guess instead of having to buy maternity scrubs for work, I got to buy “maternity pillows” for bed rest.
They really were lifesavers though!
