Last week Nate took the COMLEX, and today he is taking the USMLE. These are the tests that medical students take at the end of their 2nd year, and are used to apply for residency programs during year 4.
I thought Nate studied a lot during years 1 and 2.
They were NOTHING compared to the last 6 weeks, when he was prepping for boards.
When I was at the airport last week I saw a girl with the First Aid book in her purse. I almost cried for her. Right there at the security check point. That’s how emotionally involved I am with this book. And boards.
I never wanted to be the person that said “I can’t wait until…” or wished my life away. I know I’m supposed to live life fully, and enjoy the moment…
BUT THERE IS NOT ONE TINY PIECE OF ME THAT IS SAD THAT THAT PART OF OUR LIVES IS OVER!!!
That felt good to get off my chest.
Congrats to Nate for finishing these beastly tests, and moving on with life!
And this afternoon, he can finally see the sun again.
